About us
Since 1955, the Broad Street Church of Christ has been a faithful presence of Christ in Statesville, North Carolina, but our story stretches back much further. The church of Christ began in the first century, established by Jesus Himself. As He promised in Mark 9:1, the kingdom of God—His church—came with power in that generation, fulfilled on Pentecost in Acts 2. There, the apostles, empowered by the Holy Spirit, preached repentance and baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)—a message we still proclaim today.
At Broad Street, we’re committed to continuing the church Christ founded, guided solely by the inspired words of God as our authority. We strive to teach the same distinctive plan of salvation Peter shared nearly 2,000 years ago and strive to worship as the early Christians did. Nothing we do is hidden; our faith is open, simple, and rooted in Scripture.
We’re a community striving to honor God, grow in faith, and serve others. Whether seeking answers, a deeper connection with Christ, or a place to worship, we invite you to join us. Have questions? Reach out—we’d love to talk with you!
